This is a blueberry found mostly in the Northeast. It is a deciduous, spreading shrub with lance-shaped, glossy dark-green leaves, about 1 1/2 inches long. Blueberries thrive in acid soil.  White bell-shaped flowers are followed by delicious, edible, dark blue berries. Usually grown for it's sweet fruit, can also be utilized in a mixed shrub border or woodland garden.
